swat raid on home

First we heard about S.W.A.T. teams in California raiding organic markets for the crime of selling “raw” milk, as if they were some kind of violent drug cartel, now the California food police are targeting RESIDENTIAL HOMES to search for and confiscate this “dangerous” substance! Forget about the “war on drugs” folks (we all know how successful that’s going), now they’re bringing a whole new war to the AMERICAN PEOPLE… the war on natural food!

If you live in a nanny state where the government contrives laws, violating your rights and invading your privacy, claiming that the state knows best what’s good for you and your family, then you know you’re living under tyranny.  It’s not for the government to decide what you can and cannot eat, drink or feed to your children.  Micro-managing citizen’s lives right down to what kind of food they are allowed to eat is so far beyond FASCIST to me, I don’t even have an adequate adjective for it!

The last time I checked, alcohol and cigarettes were still perfectly legal in California, yet unpasteurized milk poses such a heinous health risk that they have to send in law enforcement to confiscate it from ordinary people?  I’m not saying that alcohol and cigarettes should be illegal either, but don’t you think that if the state were genuinely all fired-up concerned about the health of their residents that their Gestapo would have a different set of priorities?

(NaturalNews) In a bombshell revelation of the depth of the food police state that now exists in LA County, California, NaturalNews has learned that the LA County health department has unleashed door-to-door raw milk confiscation teams to threaten and intimidate raw dairy customers into surrendering raw milk products they legally purchased and own.

According to Mark McAfee (see quotes below), both LA County and San Diego county have attempted to acquire customer names and addresses from Organic Pastures (www.OrganicPastures.com) for the sole purpose of sending “food confiscation teams” to customers’ homes to remove the raw milk from customers’ refrigerators. Using both phone calls and home visits, these teams intimidate customers and try to force them to give up their milk.

These revelations have surfaced in a recorded NaturalNews interview with Mark McAfee, the founder of Organic Pastures and a food rights advocate. Here’s what he told us:

LA County health enforcers go door to door, demanding your fresh milk

“I received a phone call yesterday morning from a wonderful young gal, a 36-year-old mom out of LA County. She’s one of our UPS customers that we deliver overnight raw milk to her house. When the CDFA was in here the other day on our recall, they demanded to have all our delivery addresses for overnight UPS delivery. We screwed up and [inadvertently] gave it to them, they got it from one of our secretaries here. The LA County health department started calling her, six or seven times, demanding that she give up her raw milk from her own home to the health department.

She refused, then they showed up at her house and demanded that she give her raw milk to them. She was getting ready to call 911 for the Sheriff’s department and have them removed from her front doorstep, and she was threatening to use her camera to take a picture of them and post it on Facebook for harassing her over her raw milk… The investigators left after she told them she was not going to give them the raw milk and to get the Hell off her property.

This is what’s going on, it’s like food Nazis, it’s incredible what these people are doing, trying to collect food from people’s houses, that have not made them ill!

Then the San Diego health department called me up and said oh we want a list of all your buyer’s club members, and I said no… and they said we want all their addresses and their names, because we want to go to their homes. I said it ain’t happening, we aren’t going to give it to you.”

Are armed raids on raw milk customers next?

LA County has already conducted armed raids on raw milk distribution centers — are armed raids on raw milk customers next? Will LA County Health Department investigators start calling on the police to go door to door, arresting raw milk owners as if they were crack dealers?

Remember: The raw milk from Organic Pastures is legally sold, legally purchased, and greatly enjoyed by its customers. There are virtually no complaints about this product. Customers love it. Only the government wants to confiscate it and destroy it.

And even as the county is unleashing food police to confiscate raw milk that authorities say might be dangerous, they cannot find anyone actually harmed by it. Nor do they pay any attention to the fact that upwards of 70 percent of the fresh chicken meat sold at grocery stores across California is routinely contaminated with salmonella and other pathogens.

What this clearly demonstrates is yet another ratcheting up of the California police state, where county authorities reach right into your refrigerator and confiscate food that they claim might not be safe — food that you’ve legally purchased and wish to consume knowing full well that it’s fresh and raw!

Regulators operating as lawless, idiotic tyrants

The question on all our minds is simple: Where does this end? Having already criminalized raw milk distribution at Rawesome Foods, thrown James Stewart in jail (http://www.naturalnews.com/035208_James_Stewart_torture_county_jail.h…) and completely shuttered the Rawesome operation, California’s bureaucrats seem to have too much time and money on their hands, so they target real food and local farms while ignoring the truly dangerous criminals running loose across the streets of L.A.

Such is the inevitable result of big government gone bad, which is almost an oxymoron because big government always goes bad. Eventually, the power granted to authorities at any level (county, state, federal) is turned against the People, and food, farms and freedoms are among the first targets to be threatened.

This is really bad! What did they do in the 1800′s when there was no pasturizing? Give me a break! I live in rural Minnesota but this is scary!

Yeah, if you listen to these big pharma/big agro propagandists, they’d have you believe that before the “miracle” of chemical pharmaceuticals and factory farming practices, everybody died in childhood.

I agree. I like your use of the term “Fascist” since it is accurate. It describes an economic system where corporations have taken over the government machinery. In this case, the Pharmacy, Medical Dairy lobbies
Actually, maybe “Corporate Fascism”.is more accurate.

And then there is Monsanto…. we’ve been ‘test subjects’ for years. They want to push GMO over healthy and organic because it takes money out of the pockets of people like Monsanto, and big Agriculture. It’s only going to change when we ALL get tired of being pushed around by our own elected Government ( I use the term lightly ). They have all forgotten why they are there, and they each/all have their own agenda’s and WE THE PEOPLE are not on it. The Declaration of Independence says we have the right to abolish any government that is not giving us our rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. ARE YOU HAPPY?

If you sell your raw milk to the illegal aliens, they will leave you alone, because they don’t want to start anything with the illegals. They would loose all their political support.

I can’t believe they shut down Rawesome, that is BS. This is being prompted by powerful food producers who are trying to put small, organic farmers out of business. I would get some lawyers & start asking questions of the elected officials because IF you don’t, get ready for more abuses. This is just BS.

    • Gracie on said:

“Powerful food producers”? I didn’t think we had any left here in the U.S. I believe we are importing fruits and vegies from other Countries. Our farms are being shut down one by one to enable fair trade so they can be equal to the U.S. California is a liberal state. Our elected officials are enacting these regulations with guns and intimidation???? “Come and get us Food Nazis”. We had better stand now for the way the U.S. was run when it was strong. Think about all of the “Change:” that has taken place. Are you listening?

You didnt mention that Raw Milk has lead to many Hepatitis Infektions in the past (thans to the dairy industry) and many multiresisten germs went from the Industrial Produktion to the organic growers. Of course the Dairy industy supresses these Informations that the milk has changed over the last years.. as they supress the information about Osteoporosis, Cancer, Autoimmun disease, Strokes, Diabetis, Adipositas und Arteriosclerosis caused by milk.
It takes longer to find good, strong studies on this subjekt, but they exist.
If you want to live healthy: Dont consume it, organic or not!
Of course this 4th Reich behavior by the police is criminal and not tolerable!

Well, humans have been drinking unpasturized milk for centuries. In a free society, adults should be able to make their own decisions regarding what they drink and eat – without government intervention.

Before pasturization, bacteria in milk was destroyed by adding Hydrogen peroxide food grade,to it.(before refridgeration) then it never goes sour!I still use it!Lasts a long time….

Leave it to California Govt… they can’t run themselves but want to run everyone else. There’s a referendum coming up relative to Genetically Modified Organisms in foods (GMO’s) that’s dipping into the “organic” and “natural” world. If it passes; things that are “processed” can’t be labeled organic. That means things like organic milk can’t even exist in CA because because milk must be pasturized. Please CA voters… stop the madness!

I see organic products at large grocery chains and small ones alike. The things that sick out the most are the price (expensive), the packaging (expensive), and the condition of the products (a few hours past prime).
I enjoy still being able to buy milk for $3.00 a gallon. I can tell by the storage temperature and the date that it will last until it’s drank. Louis Pasteur was a scientist who invented a way to kill harmful bacteria in milk. The reason your farming families didn’t have trouble is because they lived within walking distance of the best storage container…the cow.
By processing milk the same way but skipping the pasteurization process, you are removing the only health safeguard in place. The USDA cannot police many small dairies, nor the distribution network. The only way to decidedly prevent distributing tainted milk is for all of the dairies to deliver their milk to a central processing plant for process monitoring and then distributors (calling themselves “farms”) pack and ship the milk in refrigerated trucks to the stores. eColi is deadly. and fast. The local authorities do not have the manpower to monitor all of these small dairies and therefore must use stopgap measures to ensure public safety.

        • Gracie on said:

Well, well . . . what have we here? A Union man maybe? Central processing plant for monitoring and ship in refrigerated trucks? Why don’t we just submit and line up around the facility for “our fair share”. .

What strikes me as outrageous is too things: one, if you buy non-pasteurized milk, you have probably done so for a decade -without any serious health risks. Butthen, after the Fukushima nuke problem in Japan – no milk in California was safe from the radioactivity dispersed by the atmosphere into California’s dairy farms. This radioactivity is a real problem – one that will affect our planet for hundred s of years. So what was our government’s response to this radioactivity? They shut down the EPA stations where such activity could be monitored. But now we are told to stop drinking the non-pasteurized milk, even while the Obama Administration plans to pony up more money for nuke plants!

I think I will be responsible for my own safety when ingesting liquids or solids…I promise not to drive while drinking raw milk

        • Mark Campidonica on said:

Mr Laun raises a very valid point. They are called HCCP (Hazard Critical Control Points) in the food business. In California most people in the food service business are required to be trained to recognize and utilize these points. “ServeSafe” training is such a training program. You will see the certificates on the walls of restaurants. That said, I have no problem with people buying raw milk, but they have to be informed and assume the risk that comes with the purchase. You see such a warning on restaurant menus regarding ordering “rare” meat. I would simply require that such a warning be distributed with raw milk.

          Martin,
Pasteurization “… was originally conceived as a way of preventing wine and beer from souring”.:
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pasteurization#History
That came form a commercial need to save a grower’s crop and not for health reasons. The same commercial impulse is the main reason for pasteurization of milk.

The first “health safeguard” is actually in the milk itself as it comes from the health of the animal. Therefore, people have a Right to find the healthy milk sources that don’t need pasteurization which is only a “band aid” attempt applied to sick milk coming from animals made sick by an incorrect diet of grains, distillery slop and worse.

What has ‘nanny state’ to do with this? The big boogeyman from Europe, otherwise known as ‘nanny state’ allows people to buy and procure whole, raw milk. They also require GMO grown foods to at least be labelled and in some places, certain GMO products are simply not allowed to be sold.

Your reference to ‘nanny state’ is misplaced. Perhaps you are thinking of other attributes of the ‘nanny state’ that refers to health care, decent wages for all and pensions that actually cover life after retirement? Those seem to be synonymous with the term, but certainly not a crack-down on organic, whole foods.

The fact is that big government is government by corporation which we are quite rapidly moving towards with the bogus claim of fiscal conservative. That is another word for corporatism. The world run by big pharma, big oil, big business, big banks, big everything does not spell freedom – not in the least. We become the cash cows for these evil, greedy people. Talk about sheeple? HAH… When the government can tell you what you are allowed to do in your own kitchen, bedroom or with your own physician – THAT is what is called BIG government. And it aint’ a nanny state – it’s a feudal state where they milk the peasants in order to get the rich even richer.

      • Ed Corcoran on said:

You are correct in your assertion, Jinny, and I agree with you. Let’s not get tangled up in semantics. Of course this type of legislation is always about money, control and corporate influence. I assume my readers take that as given, and therefor belaboring the point is unnecessary. But as long as the government is going to disguise their motives by purporting that this type of legislation is “for our own good” and they need to protect us from ourselves, I will counter that argument by saying: “No thanks… I don’t need a nanny. Try again.”

That’s what I mean by “nanny state”.
